Cat has contacted me with her selections as she has had trouble accessing the site.

She would like Intimacy and The Information and she'll replace them with Slaughterhouse Five and The Corrections.

Please also note that Cat will be away over the next 5 weeks so if anyone requests her books, there will be a delay posting them out.

My turn! I am requesting The Corrections from cat207 and Go Tell It on the Mountain from PJLBewdy please.

In return I'll put in The Hours by Michael Cunningham, The Sea by John Banville, Of Mice and Men/Cannery Row by John Steinbeck (note: quite well-loved, but Cannery Row is not always easy to find so in it goes) and The Immoralist by Andre Gide.

Cheers Rachel (running-gal)

p.s Can you tell I started this book group as a cunning plan to empty my house of books? So far it's not really working though.... :)

I would like to request Birdsong from crimson-tide and I will put in The Mayor of Casterbridge by Thomas Hardy

Umm . . . Birdsong isn't on the available list right now - I chose it last round so it has been removed from the box. I've PMed PJLBewdy about it and suggested he have another pick.

Which leads me to ask . . . why are books still listed if they are out of the box and unavailable? I find it very confusing.

Sorry folks you need to set the drop down list to 'Available' before you choose your books.

Unavailable books are still listed as being in our library because I thought it would be a useful function for members to be able to view which books they and other members currently have 'checked out' from our VBB.

I can of course make them invisible if enough members find it too confusing to have to change the list to Available before making their selections. Just let me know.

Thanks
Rachel

Hi all,

I'm having trouble getting on to Paul so will skip to Lucie and give Paul another chance to select at the end of the round.

Cheers
