A day early, but I thought I'd start a new thread.
I'm looking for the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich - starting with Four to Score and ending up at the most recent, Smokin' Seventeen. Hardcover or paperback, doesn't matter. I'd prefer to mooch domestically from the US since I don't have too many points.
Thanks!

I'm looking for Elizabeth Peters' Amelia Peabody series, specifically the following titles:
The Deeds of the Disturber. 1988. #5
The Snake, the Crocodile, and the Dog. 1992. #7
Seeing a Large Cat. 1997. #9
The Falcon at the Portal. 1999. #11
Tomb of the Golden Bird. 2006. #18
A River in the Sky. 2010. #19
I know a couple of these are available on PBS, but I'm out of points over there, alas! Anyone have copies they would like to part with via Bookmooch?

I have the earlier books in paperback that I will be posting at some point in the near future (my grandmother is borrowing them right now) if you would be interested. I can post them and reserve them for you until later if you want.

>5 karenmarie: karenmarie - Georgia M. on Paperbackswap has 2 for 1 from her bookshelf on Janet Evanovich today! I just saw her posting in the book bazaar. Her bookshelf is: http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/members_books.php?m=UXpjV2dQL2pidFE9 She says select the ones you want and PM her for the free ones.

7 - at large in the world - that would be great! Just let me know whenever you're ready to post them to the site!

#9 by @valkylee> I posted and reserved them for you. The first one should be ready to send out pretty soon (I think she's on #3 or #4 now) and I will keep you posted about the ship time of the others. If you find one sooner than I can mail it, just let me know- there won't be any hard feelings.

I would really like to find this edition of
Hatchet by Gary Paulsen
Piper edition (published in England? But also distributed in Australia, to schools at least), mass market paperback with this cover:
It's the edition I initially read (and my favourite cover), probably 1991 publishing. It has proved very difficult to find! I think it is ISBN 0330310453. Unfortunately it has been reprinted with a different cover... I tried asking a seller who had that cover shown on their listing but it was actually a different edition (and the cover shown had been the default, without them checking and noting it was different). Please keep an eye out for this in ex-library school sales, or wherever it may show up, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!!

I can provide a copy of State of wonder, that's why I asked.

>15 karenmarie:, I am amazed your bookclub has decided the next 12 books you are reading? I have belonged to a bookclub for 10 years now and I think half the fun is figuring out what book to read next.
Paperbackswap (if you are in the USA) might have some of the books you want.

Thanks so much, Miela and RidgewayGirl! I'll look forward to hearing from you both.
ZoeyEve - we really enjoy our annual book-selection meeting. All of us are quite busy and like to have things scheduled with no surprises. Sometimes things get re-arranged, but most of the time we know what we're reading when. I know other book clubs do things differently.
We have quite a few very strong (read opinionated and bossy) women who would take over if things weren't arranged the way they are. We've been in business since 1997, so at least for us we're doing things right. Each of us gets a book of her choice. If we come to the meeting with only one suggestion, then that's the book. If we come with several choices it means we're allowing the group to help us decide. This cycle we had 3 people who only brought one book. One of us had two to choose from, most 3, and several brought 5 or 6 books to choose from. We're all pretty happy with the choices, although I've already read two that I didn't put on that list - Major Pettigrew's Last Stand and Year of Wonders.
I'll check out Paperbackswap - I joined a long time ago but loved BM so much I didn't want to have two going. But maybe now's the time.....

Thank you :)

>28 Veritas_: There are lots of copies of The Girl Who Played with Fire on PBS, you may want to have someone who is on both grab it and post it to you on Bookmooch or you may want to join PBS. I'm currently on the Wishlist for the audio version on PBS and they estimate about 6 weeks for that but there are a lot of text copies.
