Breve biografia
Robin Patchen is an award winning multi-published author, but only because she can't pursue her other dream.

If time and money were no object, Robin would spend her life traveling. Her goal is to visit every place in the entire world--twice. She longs to meet everybody and see everything and spread the good news of Christ. Alas, time is short and money is scarce, and her husband and three teenagers don't want to traipse all around the world with her, so Robin does the next best thing: she writes. In the tales she creates, she can illustrate the unending grace of God through the power and magic of story.

Finding You is the third book in Robin Patchen's The Wright Heroes of Maine series. This is a wonderful series, The second book, Rescuing You, and this one are two of my most favorite Patchen books. As one of my favorite authors, that is saying a lot. In this story Professor Bryan White travels to Germany to get a look at some Middle Eastern antiquities before they were put on display in a museum in Munich. Little did he know what the ramifications of this visit would be professionally and personally as he is not the only one seeking to examine this group of artifacts, and not everyone's motives are academic. Sophia Chapman is in Maine visiting her friend, Leila, Bryan's future sister-in-law. She just so happens to design exhibits at the very museum housing the Middle Eastern antiquities Bryan longs to examine. Sophia's childhood had left her confused about many things, but most importantly about what gives her life worth. The theme of personal worth is a major component of this story. The theme is developed through a story of adventure and courage, as is that of the proper place of works in the life of a Christian. I highly recommend Finding You and the other books in The Wright Heroes of Main series. Readers will find themselves holding their breath, experiencing moments of angst, feeling sentimental, and cheering on those finding themselves in unexpected circumstances. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author via Book Funnel without obligation. All opinions expressed here are my own.… (altro)

How well do you know where things are in your home? Would you be able to tell if someone broke in but didn’t take anything?

Bryan Wright, an antiquities professor, is asked to help discover what terrorists could possibly want from a little known display in Munich, Germany. Obviously more than he expected as the danger mounts the longer he spends time in the company of Sophie Chapman, museum employee.
A mysterious ivory chest, another break-in, murder and running away will keep you wondering if any of this is worth it. Can they trust that God knows what is happening and that He has it in control? Will they get rescued in time or is Sophie really not worthy of a rescue? Does she even matter to anyone?

An early copy of The Wright Heroes of Maine #3 was received through JDO Publishing and BookFunnel. These thoughts are my own and were in no way solicited.

Running to You by Robin Patchen commenced The Wright Heroes of Maine series and I want to read them all! This novel gripped my attention from the beginning and was terribly difficult to put down. First, the action and mystery weaved together to create a constantly moving (and entertaining) plot. Some of my guesses at what had happened were totally off! Second, due to Sam and Eliza’s past mistakes, both characters had to develop individually and together. The characters felt real as they worked through the messiness. Third, the second-chance romance had the perfect balance of tension and attraction which led to plenty of swoony moments.

Running to You by Robin Patchen is an independently published, romantic suspense novel, but it felt professional and lacked the inferior editing present in some indie books. I’d happily read this novel again. 4.5 Stars!

Disclosure of Material Connection: I was provided a copy of this book by the author or publisher. All opinions in this review are my own.

Well, Robin Patchen had me hooked. It was a struggle to set this down so I could do important stuff, like homework.
I found the pacing to be quite good. There was time between the action but never enough that my interest wandered.
All the different aspects of the story were engaging and I really enjoyed as Rae recounted her past throughout the novel. It brought a lot of insight as to who she is and why she made the choices that she did.
Patchen proved that she can write a great suspense novel and I will definitely be coming back for more of her books in the future.
Rating: 5/5
Crude Language: one use of the 'a' word
Romance: a kiss
Spiritual: not much, Rae prays sometimes
Violence: quite a bit but nothing detailed
*I received a copy of this novel from the author/JustRead Tours. A positive review was not required and all thoughts are my own.
