Starts out a bit slow, and becomes more fun after the scene is set and action picks up about a quarter of the way into the story.
As another reviewer said, this is a popcorn-movie take on Austen fan-fic. Read accordingly :)

fun story, but I was put off by some of the dialog that seemed to force a more obvious connection to P&P. The tone and phrasing just didn't work in those passages.

This book just isn't grabbing me - I think it is too much of a stretch to imagine Darcy as a pirate. Oh well.

A good book and an excellent retelling of Pride and Prejudice. Re-read was just as good - originally read in 2011
