I am a particular fan of Memoirs and Mysteries, for the most part, but am an avid book review reader and am constantly updating my list of "to read" which also includes works of fiction and non-fiction that interest me. I've been keeping track of my reading since 2003. In 2015 I did read 100 books, but my previous high was 70 (2008). I've found that the number I read in any given year is a result of what's going on in my life. The year a dear friend and fellow book lover died I was only able to read 12 books as we enjoyed many of the same authors and subjects and I missed her and our private book club.

I'm off to a good start this year. Thus far in January, I have read:

1- Finding Fortune by Delia Ray
2- Empire of Self: A Life of Gore Vidal by Jay Parini
3- Publishing, A Writer's Memoir by Gail Godwin
4- Blackout by Sarah Hepola
5- Lives in Ruins: Archaeologists and the Seductive Lure of Human Rubble by Marilyn Johnson
6- White Corridor by Christopher Fowler
7- The Inconvenient Corpse by Jackie King
8- The Mare by Mary Gaitskill
9- The Killing Kind by Chris Holm
10- Let me Finish by Roger Angell

To be continued . . .

You seem to be having trouble with some of your touchstones.
Blackout
The Inconvenient Corpse
The Mare
The Killing Kind

In each case, the book you want is not the first on that comes up, but has to be searched for in (others).

Probably because I don't know what I'm doing!
. . . January continued . . .
11- Disciples the WWII Missions of the CIA Directors who fought for Wild Bill Donovan by Douglas Waller

Thank you MarthaJeanne. I now see I have to click and choose on touchstones. But when I did it on the last book (Disciples) I clicked on it; however, it wasn't added to MY touchstones. I suppose I can just list my books without associating with any touchstones?
