My parents owned a bookstore most of my life. I have more books than anyone knows what to do with. I read everything. I share them.

I am a therapist in NC who works with children and women. I have done this for 22 years. I focus on empowering parents children and women, and am interested in mindfulness compassion based therapy. Also, I collect cookbooks, and am a member of several cookbook clubs and am a buddhist.

When I was a child books were my best friend. I would spend hours in the library and often talk others into allowing me to use their library card because I had reached the limit of books I could check out. Then I would carry piles of them home in my arms through the field and make a nest and read. They still make me feel safe and happy.
