Beth Bolden

There was some disappointment here, and I'm not sure if it's because of my expectations or something else. This definitely should not be read as a standalone as it builds up on things growing from the previous books, but also it didn't seem to cover what I was hoping for. We heard so much of Deacon previously, but I felt as though I'd really get to know him here yet didn't. The same with Grant although we don't really know much about him in the other books either. I think this is one of those books where the backstory was built up by the author but not relayed onto the page properly, so I finished wanting more. Don't get me wrong as I do appreciate the love declarations before 50%, but then even on the backside I wanted to see more of what was going and just wasn't feeling it as we didn't really learn how these two actually fell in love.… (altro)
