I liked this book.... It was just as the title said: "Step-by-step. There are plenty of mouth-watering photos and easy to follow recipes on glossy paper.

What I didn't like was the binding, it is paper and will eventually split... and the print is very small. For this reason I took off a star.

Na enige historische informatie over inmaken vermeldt de inleiding allerlei basisinformatie over producten, middelen, hulpmiddelen en (voor)bereidingstechnieken m.b.t. het conserveren van voornamelijk groenten en fruit. In het aansluitende receptengedeelte passeert een scala aan mogelijkheden voor het inmaken van alle mogelijke groente- en fruitsoorten de revue, met daarbij per soort diverse smaak-, consistentie- en karaktervarianten. De receptuur is bijzonder deskundig, zeer creatief en heel overzichtelijk ingedeeld (stap-voor-stap in woord en kleurafbeelding), de ingrediëntenlijsten zijn evenwichtig van opbouw.

I love the selection, and will use many. There are a good selection fo savory recipes as well, which is very helpful.

The US equivalents should be used with care. Muesli and granola are not the same thing.
