This fact-filled book about space tech is both a great introduction and for those kids looking for specific information. While there is no index, the table of contents is an excellent guide. It is perfect for bouncing around topics, and is also fine to read sequentially. It is illustrated with drawings and great photographs of the technology, all with dark background. Topics include GPS, space suits, space shuttles, space telescopes, space travel- all done in a factual but light format, including wisecracks on the side. For a kid who is interested in space, this is one to pour over. ( )

This is a gorgeous book! My daughter, who has a big interest in space, dug right into it and started telling me different facts right away! "Hey Dad, did you know...?" And in almost every case, I did NOT know! A very inspiring book for any young mind who wants to know more about the "world" above us! ( )

This was a fun and informational book for kids and adults about some of the amazing space gadgets out there. I am older than the target audience and learned some new information, and the graphics in this book made it a real standout! They were easy to understand and just great to look at as well, I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in space, not just kids. Happy reading! ( )

This is a great informational text for upper elementary aged children. There were plenty of illustrations and quick facts to capture the attention of the reader. This is a great text to use as an introduction to infographics. The text accompanying the illustrations is short, but allows children to learn a lot about each topic presented in the book. The quick facts encourage children to learn more about the topics from other resources. This book is well-written and visually appealing.

I would have liked to see a more photos instead of all illustrations. For example, the information about the animals that have participated in space exploration, it would have been nice to include actual photos of a few animals. ( )
