In my library I have a variety of genres ranging from Fantasy, Thrillers, Young Adult, Contemporary, and romance as well as different formats. I love hardcovers because they look so pretty on my bookshelves, but paperbacks are so much more comfortable to read. I also have my ebooks for times when I don't want to have all my lights on and Audiobooks to listen to while I'm in motion and/or working and cannot physically read a book.

Over the past 2-3 years, I have been building my home library but yes, I still enjoy going to my local library. I’ve started posting more reviews since 2022 or 2023, although at times I only leave a rating. In 2024, I’ve decided to focus on reading what I like and not feel pressured to write detailed reviews. This isn't a competition or my job therefore if I don't like a book I am not forcing myself to read it. I do wish I could win more giveaways so that I am not spending so much of my own money, 😂 but I am not going to overwhelm myself over it.

I respect writing a book isn't easy and getting it published I can't imagine the journey an author has to go through however, as a book reader that has spent so much money on purchasing books I feel an Author should take the criticism as a way of improving their writing ( unless someone is being a complete asshat and trashing their book, then you do what you must).

As a reader, I am just that a reader, I am not a paid critic, nor do I have an English Lit degree but I am a consumer, if I purchase a book & give an honest review I would hope the author would give me as much respect as I give them by giving them an honest review or rating.

Read what you like and DNF what you don't like, that's my motto.
