My Library is mainly a record of what I own in print or in ebook. Most of my print books are ones my Mother or her sisters had, and those I owned as a child. I love re-reading books I read as a child so I am always watching for ebook versions to be produced, or searching through secondhand bookshops – physical and online.

I have always loved losing myself in the world of books. As a child my favourites were adventure, mystery, school girl stories, historical fiction, and biographies. That hasn’t changed too much in my adult preferences. All of my books I owned were received as birthday or Christmas gifts, and I still have all of them. Most of my reading was done through libraries,and surprise, I became a librarian and work as a cataloger!
My eldest grandchild, Ella, is also an avid reader and she has read many of my own childhood favourites – my copies in fact. When we were sorting through boxes of my Mum’s vintage books she discovered The Adventures of Elizabeth Ann. To see the sparkle in her eyes as she told me the story and then asked did I have the others in the series was a joy, so I am now buying the titles secondhand and totally enjoying reading through the series with her.
Books, family and grandchildren are my absolute delight.
