- misericordia : Hated the book loved the movie! In a cheesy guilty pleasure sort of way.aspirit: The book focused more on the psychological consequences of war culture than on specific traumatizing events (potential trauma triggers to readers). The movie glorified violence as it made jokes of the soldiers (both human and alien) who seem unaware they're trapped in the military system.... No thanks.
