Leopold Tyrmand (1920–1985)

A difficult book to rate for me. I generally enjoyed it, I liked the language and the setting, not bad, very easy to read. I think it simply wasn't a book for me, I didn't care about the plot, I wasn't interested in the mystery at all, I didn't like reading about all those criminals, vandals and other horrible characters, the main police officer was quite robot-like and I didn't keep my fingers crossed for him. Much too much talking and explaining in the end. I'm glad I finally read it, but I don't think I'll ever re-read it. Three and a half stars.… (altro)
