Susan Dennard is a marine biologist and Something Strange and Deadly is her debut novel. She was born in 1984 in Georgia and earned her B.A. degree in Fisheries and Statistics from University of Georgia. per districarsi dalla trama l'autrice continua ad aggiungere elementi magici senza spiegare i precedenti, i personaggi e le loro scelte risultano meno credibili ad ogni libro
nelle witchlands, un europa rivisitata, le streghe Safy e Iz, sorelle di filo, combattono goffamente contro pregiudizi e presunta povertà, combattono improbabilmente contro gli intrighi politici dei potenti e casualmente scoprono di essere le eroine religiose che il mondo aspetta da 500 anni

A lot of questions are answered— her dad, the “nightmare”, I think somethings up with Jay too but this book is just about her going very quickly through the three trials.
I’m not invested at all and will not be reading the next ones.
