Let's try this :) Sorry for the delay!

Please add to this thread the names of any authors you'd be interested in reading and discussing for the third quarter of 2021.

Reminder: Any author already discussed in the past 2 years is not eligible to be selected. (You can find the updated list here: https://wiki.librarything.com/index.php/Monthly_Author_Reads)

Any other author is eligible.

Deadlines:
Initial nominations: May 20, 2021
Second round (in case we have a deadlock somewhere): May 31, 2021

Which means that we will either have our authors on May 21 or on Jun 1, leaving a full month to find books for July.

Well - 8 nominations, 1 vote each.
Can we get someone to second/third and so on so we can pick someone? :)

I will second Jemisin! I have a book of hers on my shelf already, unread.

I will also second Flannery O'Connor.

>9 BookConcierge: No new nominations - the nominations deadline passed - so now it is seconding the 8 that got nominated on time. Keep that for next cycle? :)

So the next 3 will be:

N. K. Jemisin - July
Flannery O'Connor - August
Elena Ferrante - September

I will give it a few days if someone disagrees and so on and let the admin post the topics if they want. If not, I will post them again.

I didn't read everything on here, but I trust AnnieMod's tallying and judgment. :) Will make threads for the next three months as mentioned in >11 AnnieMod:
