I absolutely loved this story! It was very short and was a small snapshot in time where Ace and Darren meet and start to connect. Despite it being short, I didn't feel that the story was lacking anything. I got to know the personalities of Ace, Darren, and their friends. I felt their attraction and friendship grow.

I loved the use of the sub-chapter titles. The use of baseball throughout the book was fun and I liked how the book was laid out in relation to a baseball game. Very clever and fun.

I would have liked it to be longer and see if the relationship lasts beyond the few days this book spans, but Alexis did expand their story in other shorts (the newest is book 2 [b:Evading Exodus|25143819|Evading Exodus (Southern Jersey Shores #2)|Alexis Woods|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1426374489s/25143819.jpg|44843096]), and that made me very happy. This book was meant to be the story of them meeting. Next comes the growing relationship and I can't wait to read it.… (altro)

I need to start by saying how awesomely clever Alexis is with infusing the lingo from the sports she is writing about into her books. Part of the fun in reading this series has been finding how she had used the lingo throughout it. Love this!!

The story was fun. Sean is playing Ultimate Frisbee with his friends when his disc hits Brett by accident. The attraction is instant and the two decide to spend time together. We get to meet Aaron and Darren from books 1 and 2 (but you do not need to read those books first to get a feel for this book. If you haven't though, you should! Those are great!)

The story is short, so there is not a lot of depth between the characters--they have only known each other for maybe 12 hours, but there is enough to show how attracted they are to each other and how they both hope more will come from it. There is a definite HFN, with the ability to imagine how it could become HEA. More would be very awesome, though, so that I don't have to imagine it. :-)… (altro)

Ben was a college professor who has played the field for a long time. He is finally deciding that he may be ready to settle down and stop with the one night stands. Sawyer is a recent grad school graduate who has had the hots for Ben. He finally gets the nerve to approach Ben with the help of Ben's awesome BFF Jack. Ben is funny, snarky, and at times a bit over the top. It was great to see him decide he was ready to settle down and find the hot Sawyer as a great partner.

While I didn't love this as much as I remember loving the first two books, I still really enjoyed this book. Ms. Woods remains very clever with her use of the sports/games woven into the books and I absolutely love that. It adds a level of fun to the books. This was short like the others and could use a bit more story to convince me of the possibility of an HEA, but we have a very solid HFN. I hope there are more books in the future and we can get a glimpse of Ben and Sawyer again, just like we did briefly of Ace and Dare.… (altro)
