British mystery writer Minette Walters began her literary career as a sub-editor at a romance publishing company. She wrote short stories and romance novels for a time before turning to writing mysteries. Her first mystery novel, The Ice House (1992), won the John Creasy Award for Best First Novel. mostra altro Later novels have also been award winners. Prove sepolte: romanzo di Minette Walters

Una trama interessante, originale e una scrittura fluida capace di rendere assai vivide atmosfere e personaggi, fanno di questo romanzo un buon poliziesco. Un antropologo e un investigatore malgrado diversi nel carattere e nell'approccio si impegnano insieme per scagionare un innocente condannato per errore.
