As funding decreases, departments are increasingly moving toward larger class sizes, especially in lower level courses. Frequently students (either undergraduate or graduate) are emplioyed to assist in teaching a course. Even when class size is small, peer-assisted learning can be an effective model that provides rich, immediate feedback to students in a course. This publication provides insight from many different disciplines and universities as to how the model can be implemented to produce the most effective gains in student understanding.… (altro)
