I'm voluntarily reviewing a free advance reader copy I received from the author.

While I love kid books, and I loved Jay's amazing baby skills, I didn't feel like his character was consistently written. He was a smart guy who had a full plan for his masters thesis, but turned to a pile of stupid when he sat in front of Phil. He requested Phil to be his advisor, but then became a lovesick idiot. It just seemed like he didn't care about his degree, despite being portrayed as greatly caring. As for Phil, he annoyed me a lot. I did not find him to be a lovable character. He was cranky, gruff, and wanted nothing to do with Jay. Jay got working for him with the baby because Jay pushed it and Phil had no other options. It was almost surprising that they ever actually got together.

Of the three in this series, I think this one is my least favorite. For me, this is really a 3.5 star book. The writing is good, and it was nice to see the brothers from the other books. I just couldn't get into these characters.… (altro)

Adrian and Chandler were in the military together, and shared much more than the horrors of war. Neither had been with men before, but they found something in each other that drew them together. They thought it was just a "deployment" thing, and tried writing to each other for a little bit, but eventually lost touch as Chandler tried to move on with his life. After 5 years of not seeing each other, Adrian was doing a delivery near Chandler's town, so he decided to pop in and say hi. The chemistry between them was strong and immediately flared upon their re-connection. It was clear that they missed each other, but Chandler has a daughter now, and he doesn't know how to make a relationship work with Adrian living so far away.

April was adorable and got under Adrian's skin in an positive way. It was clear to see how much Chandler adored him, and it didn't take long for Adrian to feel that way as well. It was good to see the guys reconnect and find their way home to each other. I enjoyed this a lot!… (altro)

Cuke and Bouj. Friends, roommates, and ridiculous nicknames (lol). Cuke gets hit in the head with a basketball and has no memory of the last 3 and a half years. Bouj is his roommate that he is very close to. When Cuke wakes up and doesn't remember anything, he also forgets that he has never come out of the closet. He thinks that Bouj is his boyfriend, and Bouj initially agrees to go along with it just to assist with the process. Along the way, however, Bouj starts to develop feelings for Cuke. I loved how there was some brief angst as they dealt with the memory loss and (short lived) secret about not being boyfriends before the accident. I really liked how Bouj was there for Cuke, and they were really strong together. I really enjoyed this!… (altro)
