Tova Friedman

One of those books that should be included in a must read category, so that we do not repeat this brutal history. Although I'd read many Memoirs of survivors of WWII, this is most shocking because of how young Tova was when the ghettos were established in Poland, only a toddler! That she and her writing partner Malcolm were able to put together her memories with dates of events and to combine that with her Father's book about his participation and witness to the horrendous time is remarkable. Her story of survival to lead such a productive and positive life despite her beginnings can give hope.… (altro)

At the age of six, Tova and her mother were liberated from the Auschwitz concentration camp. One of the youngest survivors, this book outlines her life before, during, and after WWII.

Powerfully moving, this was a strong and well written book. It is hard to believe that such a young child could come through such horrors and thrive. Alongside her story is the powerful message that the world cannot forget what happened. Tova is not only a survivor, but a living testament. Overall, 5 out of 5 stars.… (altro)
