The premise of the book is interesting, but once I started reading, it was not as compelling as I hoped it would be. I wasn't able to make it past the first section.

Picked up at a thrift shop for $0.50. Took a bit to get in to it, but thoroughly enjoyed the letters. Especially enjoyed the earlier letters about the settling of Canada. As an American recently moved to Canada my knowledge of Canadian history could use some strengthening. Have enjoyed some Pierre Berton. ( )
