Chicken liver entrée, p.151, tolerable way to mask chicken liver. Here is an old cook book from the 1922 that will be very useful for the holidays. A general book with 33 Sections of tasty ideas, even an inexperienced cook can find easy recipes here. Though every section is remarkable, the Dessert sections stand out-there are several sub-sections of goodies- cookies, cakes, pies, cold desserts, and fruit dishes, all from scratch, but not hard to make, not time-consuming. Vegetarians can make the most of the meat dishes simply by replacing the non-vegetarian ingredients with vegetables or grains. Also, chapters are devoted to Beverages, Breads, Vegetables, Fruits and Frozen Fruit Dishes, many of which are suitable for vegans/vegetarians. The book is full of healthful foods for everyday as well as informal and formal occasions. All these discoveries from the old times are fun to make, without using ultra-modern equipments. There is a section on how to mix and measure ingredients. It is best to read this first.
