During my childhood the “Blackberry Farm” series were among my favourite and most-read books. I seem to have “lost” them during the past decade or more, though I perhaps gave them away when moving house at one stage.

Anyway, because of this I can’t recall whether I had all the titles in the series or just a certain amount. I do know that this particular book was among my collection.

Can recall little about the story now but somewhere from across the years it gives me a sort of “happy” feeling. I’m sure I’m not overrating this with 5 stars.

Can’t possibly say how many times I read this and the other “Blackberry Farm” tales, nor can I pinpoint the last time I read any of them, but at an educated guess I’ll say 1985. ( )
