STILL a 5! I love Licking Thicket. The characters are authentic and the world is full. I'm looking forward to visiting this town again and spending some time with its wacky residents. ( )

Although it's a prequel, this might be better for those that are familiar with the series. There was no real introduction to the characters and the plot was messy. They supposedly love each other and have worked together for years (and mind you, know nothing about one another) but none of that was shown, just told and then straight away they back flipped to baby, baby, baby oh. It was very jarring and made little sense. 1.5 stars. ( )

It’s so fun when pining guys confess their love and plan for the future in one evening over a few chapters. This was a very sweet look at Colin and Ryder who we see with their daughter in a couple of the other books, and this was an adorable get together. ( )

A short and sweet, low-stakes 'trapped by a snowstorm' short story prequel. I saw one reviewer call it insta-love, but as the characters have lusted for each other for three years? Uh, no. That's you not paying attention. I enjoyed it because I like on-page low angst stories, since that's my IRL experience. :) Maybe I just choose well. Anyway. It's fun. Also, bonus; it has the book #3 sample. :) ( )
