It's Friday! So, time for a new topic... What book are you reading right now?

Love it, hate it, blase about it? This is the place to share.

Have fun!

I'm re-reading Double Jeopardy by Rachel Bo. Talk about hot! I'm even embarassed about some of the stuff in this book.

I just discovered this site a few days ago. I had planned out how to create my own database in Access but decided to update my profile on Ravelry. While updating it I found out about this website. Anyway, I've spent most of the last couple of days inputting books and my knitting has really suffered! I didn't anticipate that I would want to re-read so many books. Either I remembered old favorites or couldn't remember much about the book.

Well, I for one am glad that you found this site. Next time you stop by, I hope you bring your knitting. My poor unfinished cross-stitching could use a little company. *smiles*

I'll get right on giving Rachel Bo a topic of her own! Be sure to add a little something to her topic... my topics are feeling as neglected as your knitting. lol

I am currently reading Snared and Velvet Glove III both of which are written by Sean Michael. Snared is a new title for me, but I'm enjoing re-reading Velvet Glove... actually, I've liked all of the stories written in the Velvet Glove verse, LOL!

Reading Captain's Surrender and False Colors by Alex Beecroft! Wonderful and sexy historical romances!

Thanks BabyCATqtwn and NickMat for posting and for joining our li'l group!

I'll get Sean Michael and Alex Beecroft their own topics up within the next day... Now, I just need these poor neglected topics to be filled up by helpful group members. Hint. Hint. HINT! (lol just kidding guys; there's no pressure on this couch)

I've just finished Transgressions by Erastes, I love historical and fantasy m/m, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of it about or maybe I'm just not finding it, LOL! It was a great book set during the English civil war and touches on witch hunt trials as well. Could hardly put it down.

take care,
Annette

I'm just finishing up a short story titled Mimosa by Syd McGinley (Torquere Press). It has a bit of a different writing style, but was actually a nice story.

I just finished the first story, Missing Linc by Kori Roberts, in the book Love in Thirds. I can't say I liked it but can't put my finger on why. The whole thing seemed so improbable to me. But it is fiction, so like I said I can't really say why I didn't like it. Hopefully the 2nd story will be better.

Love the way Beecroft writes historical romance! Have read Captain's Surrender and will look for False Colors.

I finished the 3rd Resonance Mates book (Jaci's Experiment) by Bianca D'Arc and am reading the 4th (Grady's Awakening). I really like this series which combines alien invasion with strong human resistance and romance. Both races are realizing that they need to combine for anyone to survive. But since there is a shortage of females the guys need to share!

i'm reading truthful change by jane davitt and alexa snow. i'm mostly enjoying it -- the sex is hot, even if the plot hangs by its fingernails. i'm a little down on one of the protags, aiden, because he's a cheater, and while he seems to sorta buy the "but i am doing it for work" excuse, i'm not quite as casual about that. especially since the authors didn't introduce his relationship as one in trouble, which is probably the bigger issue from a procedural point of view (i don't mind cheating in fiction if the reasons for it feel authentic).

but still, after a run of reading such mediocre books that i don't want to waste electrons on reviewing them, this book is pretty solid. and did i mention the sex is hot? nice play with power dynamics.
