What's the oldest Mark Twain book in your collection?
Mine's a 1907 copy of Christian Science, which I picked up on e-bay a rather longish time ago.

1907 is my earliest too. A Horse's Tale, complete with scribbling by the child who was the original owner. Found at a used & rare book store long before there was an e-bay. :-)

Following the Equator (1899). A fairly recent purchase at a bag sale, this one literally cost pennies.

That's really cool--I haven't gotten that lucky w. Twain, but I did nab one of my H.G. Wells "Outline of History" that way.

have been told and researched it to be a first edition second state.
comments?
rarest i've ever had is: "English as She was Taught." circa 1906 I think. (Sold most of my first ed. twain to pursue my girlfriend. think it was a good tradeoff.)

My oldest is an 1884 first edition, 2nd printing, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. So andyray has me beat!
