I am trying to delete books from my Wishlist which I have now acquired.
I have already scanned in the new books but they didn't combine with the editions of the same books in my Wishlist. I tried clicking on the red X but although it says 'remove this book from your collections' when I hover over it, it does nothing when I click it. I tried clicking and refreshing the page and I've tried moving the books from my Wishlist to another collection (Book jackets) but I still cannot delete them from there using the X.
The books are:
The Dream Gatherer
Firebrand
Alanna
The Lioness Rampant
Safari/ Big Sur

The red X works for me - Firefox 84.0.2 (64-bit).
Does the 'edit book' (pencil) open up the edit page?
If so you should be able to delete the books from there as a temporary workround.

>2 newcrossbooks: Okay, I've just tried that, thanks.
I can go to the edit page but if you mean I should try to use the red X on that page, it's still not working.

I haven't been able to reproduce this yet.
Have you tried using a different web browser? Do you have any browser add-ons/extensions? Do you have javascript enabled (you may not need for this process, but I'm trying to narrow down)?
When you click the red "x", a little pop-up should come up to confirm your request to delete the book. If you don't see that at all, let me know.

Popup blocker perhaps?

>5 jjwilson61: Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Just want to test first. :)

>4 kristilabrie: I’ve tried both Safari and Firefox. I don’t (currently) use any other browsers. I’ve never added any extensions etc - I’m not tech savvy so I usually just use tech as-is.
I didn’t get any pop-up confirming deletion (and, anyway, it didn’t delete) only the label telling me that the red X is for deleting that book, when I hovered over it.
>5 jjwilson61: >6 kristilabrie: I’m on the mobile site at the moment; I’ll hunt around tomorrow and see if I’ve blocked pop-ups but I do get other pop-ups.

I've had a look and I haven't added any extensions to the browsers.
It looks like pop-ups are set to 'block and notify' (across the board).
It looks like Javascript is enabled (in Safari).

>8 humouress: Okay, so perhaps the "notify" part of the blocking isn't happening. Can you disable pop-ups for librarything.com and see if that helps at all?

I've switched the pop-ups from 'block and notify' to allow but I still don't seem to be able to delete the books.
I do have 'enable content blockers' ticked. Would that affect it?

>10 humouress: That would disable pop-ups/suspected ads on sites. I would try un-ticking that to see if that does anything, definitely.

I have unticked 'enable content blockers' but still no joy. Clicking on the red X does not delete the book.
