Since we all like 19th Century writing and since no one here is afraid of a long book you may be interested to know......
For the month of October, the NYT is running a special blog on War and Peace. It seems to me to be pretty thoughtful stuff if you have any interest along those lines.
What I am going to do is copy the whole thing and set it aside for when I read the book again.
Note:
We all have our own taste and I am not sure I agree with the new Pevear translation and how it flows. I prefer the Elizabeth Garnett edition ...... but each to his own.
