Hi, I read this book sometime in the early 80's (my early teens) but it was potentially for an older audience.
From what I can recall a female sculptor was transported, along with other such arty types, from a planet where civil unrest was widespread to an elitist and priviliged society. The outcome of this book is sadly lost to me although I do remember that the girl affects the society into which she was brought, not necessarily for the better.
I always remembered it being called 'The Enid' but can't seem to find it anywhere.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hope you enjoy rereading when you track down a copy! I really liked Jan Mark's other teen SF novels, Aquarius and Divide and rule, too.
