- La mia biblioteca
- I have a large library of books that I have collected over the course of my reading life. When I am interested in a subject, I try to buy widely in it. I have a particularly extensive collection of books on Islam and on Indonesia as pre-modern Malay Muslim chronicles was the subject of my dissertation. For the last year, I have been reading almost exclusively in medieval history.
I plan to add books as they interact with my blog, or as they strike my fancy. I'd love to have every book I own on this site ... but that's a lot of labor for a working stiff. For the time being, I am adding books shelf by shelf and hoping to keep track ;-} - Informazione su di me
- Arod, rhymes with Herod (no relation), an eccentric, immanently agoraphobic former gadabout who enjoys books, wines, walking, rhetoric (in the classic sense), aquaria, baseball, history, dogs, and friends ... not in any particular order. I hold a Ph.D. in S. and S.E. Asian Studies from Cal, 1998. I work as an editor and webmaster at Stanford University. I was born in Toronto, and have lived in San Francisco since 1981.
