My Review (May contain spoilers, fair warning upon reading this review, please be responsible)

The Ritual is a book that I have been meaning to read for quite some time. This is a book that I honestly was more terrified to read than anything else. I knew it was one of those crazy dark romances that I really needed to have the correct mindset to truly enjoy, and I can tell you that this book is completely bat crazy but I fell hard for it. This will have some crazy moments within in, and it won't be an easy read. But while I was completely hooked into this one, I completely recognize how WILD this book is. What the LORDS go through....I do not understand this level of crazy lol

However, I couldn't help but becoming hooked into this story. I wanted to become so immersed within it. It is very heavy on the sexual interactions though, so much so I found myself skipping through those parts. I did love how the plot develops in this one. I enjoyed the forbidden themes to the romance at times, and seeing them overcome the circumstances and to overcome it to be together was quite superb to see. The only thing missing in the story was we didn't see the heroine's initiation so I was really hoping for that. But the epilogue was beyond heartfelt even though I think her birth mother is CRAZY lol

Overall I had a blast with this book and eager to see the other LORDS get their stories.… (altro)

This book had some great sex scenes but lacked a lot of common sense and the romance many are looking for in a dark romance. Somehow the characters are in love after having sex but never talk to each other about anything emotional or menta or their backgrounds. Guy was super possessive/jealous which I normally like BUTTT he was like that as soon as this girl was appointed his chosen knowing nothing about her... so like he would've been the same about anyone he was forced to choose as a chosen leading to it not being special... nevermind the fact her parents basically sold her into sex slavery w/o her knowledge. This was a definite no for me.… (altro)

A secret society that has control of many secrets, lies, and people is what they all signup for and are determined to be a part of. Ryat has spent most of his life determined to be a full member of the Lords, he does deeds for them that can be nefarious and once he has been inducted he is promised a chosen one. Ryat has plans for Blake as she is to be his chosen one but others around them don’t like it. This world is one of corruption, secrets, run by the wealthy so they can run the world. Blake is promised to Matt, yet Ryat has claimed her but will he keep her or are their futures already planned out for them that this is just a fling? Ryat is a very possessive character that when he sets his sights on Blake he is determined to make her his and at first it’s just a way to get back at Matt but then it becomes so much more. This was a very interesting read with twists, darkness, and lies. It takes the reader on a journey that leaves you questioning everything and those behind it. I don’t want to spoil anything because this book is intense, steamy, and so good with all the different twists it keeps the readers intrigued the whole time.… (altro)
