One of the great resources in this book are the discussion questions at the end of each chapter. Having discussions about these different aspects of adoption BEFORE actually adopting can get potential parents thinking about how they will approach the unique challenges of parenting children who began life with their first parents. Some of the topics, like parenting hurt children, will need to be expanded upon when parents are actually parenting and need more advice and specifics, but the basic principles are good ones and can help parents begin their journey more prepared.… (altro)
