Good addition to the series. Really enjoy the fact that the women are as "alpha" as the men in this series. Looking forward to the next book about brother #3, Iolyn, meeting his mate. ;^D

Security Specialists International is a private security agency which takes on government contracts and private jobs no one else wants. The series revolves around the security agency contracts and the personnel employed. Although each book is standalone to a certain extent (as in there is a heroine, hero and a happily ever after to each one) there is an overarching plot through the series focusing on a DOD traitor who has been compromising intel and profiting off of information leaks.

That's one of the main things I really love about this series. Even though there's romance and sex and a ton of humour- there's a lot of plot and while each book can be read standalone - reading them in order lets the plot build into something special. Actually it's kind of like Laura Kaye's Hard Ink series insofar as the plot running through each book. I like the whole jigsaw puzzle being put together as each book is released.

The third book in the series follows Vanko and his love interest Elana. I loved this book. The romance happens really quick but it's just so damn adorable. Plus this series doesn't claim to be anything other than what it is. The characters joke and refer to the whole insta love thing often and there's so much humor, action and romance it's very easy to ignore.

I love Vanko and I love Elana. Elana is so fierce and strong and resilient. Like most of Monette Michael's heroines she's a survivor. Vanko is so sweet to her, always trying to take care of her and make sure she doesn't overdo it.

I love how the plot all ties in. The end of Cold Day in Hell refers to the meeting of the traitor and Croaker. Tweeter refers to Tessa falling off the cliff in Storm Front when he speaks to Vanko. It all ties in so neatly and makes this series feel more like one big story rather than individual books.

Great book. 4.5 stars, rounded to 5.

The second book in the series focuses on Keely's childhood friend, Calista Meyers - a supermodel who attracts the attention of a drug cartel while in Colombia on her final modelling job. Keely sends Risto Smith to extract Calista from Colombia. I loved Calista. She's not as badass as Keely but she's still pretty badass. She knows how to keep cool, calm and collected while running from danger. Their relationship develops pretty fast but I really enjoyed it. There's lots of plot and some funny one liners and fluffy romance. Risto was a bit of an idiot but he eventually got with the program. I loved Conn, I hope he gets a book. Overall very enjoyable. Great book. 4 stars.

The first book in the Security Specialists International follows Ren Maddox, owner of SSI and all round alpha male and Keely Walsh - one of the best heroines I've ever read. Keely Walsh is total badass - she's smart, feisty and can totally take on all the boys. Half the time - she's better than them. This book is utterly hilarious - there are so many great one liners and funny exchanges. Particularly Mrs Molly Walsh's ideas on how to handle overprotective men. Explain literally, in great detail and at great length. Hereby distracting an overprotective male. Lol. Although the romance progresses pretty quick, it's easy to overlook and very enjoyable to read. Great first book in a great series. 4.5 stars.
