The concluding volume to the adaptation of the un filmed sequel to the legendary Dark Crystal movie. The Power of the Dark Crystal is a decent follow up to the original movie with great artwork and a good story. A worthy read for fans of the Dark Crystal.

Jim Henson's The Power of the Dark Crystal Vol. 1 di Simon Spurrier

Serving as the sequel to the original 80's movie, this graphic novel serves as a bold leap for the lore and story of the Dark Crystal itself. Just when you think you know it all, you have to relearn everything you thought you knew all over again. The Dark Crystal is already a massive world that never seems to be completely finished or final, so this is yet another chapter in its world building. We get to take a look back on some of the original cast and how they are holding up after 100 years or so as well as meet some new characters that fit in Thra seemingly well. There's also a string of events that occur that are somewhat striking considering how well you know your Dark Crystal lore (for me, it's fairly up there). I'd love to read more of this series- it's a dauntless continuation.… (altro)

Jim Henson's The Power of the Dark Crystal Vol. 3 di Simon Spurrier

Ahhhhh. What a wonderful end to this series. It was almost a shame to close the pages. Our heroes found the secret of the Dark Crystal and helped bring unity to both their people. I loved everything about this series and think it’s a shame the movie never came together. There is a spin-off series called Beneath the Dark Crystal. I guess I will now have to go pick that up.
