3.5 // easy, cute, predictable read. loved the setting of the story.
I adore Lizzy Dent and her writing! Mara was a fantastic character, managing to really grow throughout the novel. And one of my favourite aspects was the friendship between her and Charlie and a look at how close friends can have their relationship change and evolve throughout time and kids.
I'm just so annoyed that we didn't get a scene with Joe. I spent half the book eagerly anticipating how awkward that moment was going to be and how she was going to play it and I felt a bit cheated.
I prefered THE SUMMER JOB but still absolutely adored this and am eagerly awaiting Dent's next book.… (altro)

This was just really lovely and summery and flowery! Can never imagine being in that scenario, but it was a good example of how to prove to yourself you can do something.
Fun British chick-lit that though predictable in parts, does have some surprises.
