This book was better than I expected. From the title, I would expect it to be another popular book that takes a simple theme and repeats it endlessly. Instead, I found a lot of densely packed substance in it. I was impressed that rather than being snake oil, it comprised solid information on our current understanding of how food is metabolized. Therefore, I copied out the following list of "good carbohydrates".

Avacatto
Beets
Berries
Brocclii sprouts
Brown Rice
Bulgur Wheat
Cabbage
Concord Grape Juice

Greens

Well written, conversational style. Technical terms were explained clearly, examples were given, Q & A's helped reinforce new information and ideas and each chapter was summarized at the end, with a recipe, mostly (I was pleased to see) vegetarian. I would recommend this book to anyone trying to improve their nutrition, and anyone interested in losing weight without going hungry.
