Through practice she is able to get closer to mastering the recipes. This book would be helpful in a primary setting when illustrating how to not give up when faced with challenges. This would be a good book for kids in 1st through 2nd grade. I thought this book was super cute and very informative of the food in Jamaica! It's a good representation of a relationship with a grandmother, something we can all relate to, regardless of culture. It's also a good window into other countries for children.
