When Mira approaches him to play and he turns her down she goes to Dark Haven to find someone who will. Torin yanks her out of her scene and proceeds to punish her and make her his. As working partners they have to figure outo how to make it all work. Very hot, I'll look for more by this author.

Educating Evangeline 5 stars
As improbable as it is that she escapes from hunters into a BDSM club, which happens to have a Victorian theme night and she HAPPENS to be coming from a Victorian Faire, the rest was quite good and enjoyable read. I hope she writes more about this group.

Simon Says: Mine 5 stars
Favorite quote, "..her heart did that annoying jump-up-and-down-it's-Master-Simon dance." Most irritating …after she tells the check in gal that she's new and never been to a club like Dark Haven, is there anything she should know… the check in gal says 'Nah'. I know Cherise knows better than this so I was very unhappy reading that little interaction. Otherwise? If you like BDSM I suspect this will be a panty changer for you and your girly bits might be doing the Master Simon dance too. :) ( )

good read hard to decide which story i liked best in this anthology. The three authors did a nice job liking references within their stories to characters in the other stories. so its like 3 stories all taking place on the same night @ Dark Have ( )

I read this mainly for Cherise Sinclair's Simon Says: Mine from the Mountain Masters series.

Story #3 – Cherise Sinclair – Simon Says: Mine (Mountain Masters #1.5)

Cherise Sinclair is steadily becoming my favorite author in all things BDSM. Most stories could easily just fall into porn without a plot, but Sinclair infuses her characters with a lot of heart and soul, and the BDSM just underscores the deep passion that the characters come to feel. I thought I'd just about read every type of BDSM play there was, but I was proven wrong – voice box/electrical play … so freaking hot!

Rona McGregor just got out of a boring twenty year marriage, and she has a plan for her newly won freedom – to experience everything she's missed out on over the years. One of those exciting new adventures is to fulfill one of her fantasies, trying BDSM. That leads her to the notorious BDSM club, Dark Haven.

She gets to watch one of the most sought after Doms in action, Master Simon. She's overwhelmed and excited from her first glimpses of a scene playing out before her eyes, but more than anything she's intimidated by Master Simon's presence when he finally speaks to her. He's more than interested in being the one to usher her into the lifestyle, but she balks at the idea of it. She wants to find a man less … compelling.

Simon sees in her everything he could want in a woman and a submissive. She's intelligent, independent, and he can see himself being with her as just a man seeking comfort and good conversation as well as being her Dom. He realizes that she's most likely to run away if she catches on to his goals of making himself the only man she'll want to be with, so he slowly tries to win her over. Question is, can and will she abandon her stubborn “single woman goals”, and let Simon show her unparalleled pleasure and devotion?

Rona and Simon were a great H/H. The fact that these characters were older, closer to my age made me more appreciative of the story. It was easy to feel for Rona, the way she felt about herself, her body and her sexuality. Naturally she balked at the idea of getting (too) involved with a man she had just met, though I can't say that I would have tried to adhere to such a staunch plan as far as being with a bunch of different men over a short period of time. I do like seeing the characters address questions that floated around in my head while reading this. She did see her goals as being a little slutty (hey, she said it, I just thought it).

Simon was amazing. He's in his forties, he's confident and he showed such a loving/lovable and caring side of himself that made me swoon. Even I got turned on every time he spoke. No wonder she didn't stand a chance.

I wanted so badly for Rona's head to catch up with what her body and heart already knew that I teared up a little when Simon put everything on the line and made a painful decision to get her to acknowledge her fears. Bless Jake for stepping in and saying what she didn't want to acknowledge.

Another fantastic story full of heart and heart-pounding pleasure. It was great to see some old characters make an appearance in this short story.

Side note: I did read Story #1 – Sierra Cartwright - Met Her Match (Hawkeye #2.5). It wasn't bad, but it didn't capture me like Sinclair's writing does. I'd give it 3.5 stars. I haven't read Story #2 yet, but I might. If I do, I'll re-post this review. ( )
