Publishing books read to FB via date field

Tim is apparently at least considering using the Finished date as the basis for publishing reading updates to Facebook. Even better, Abby has spoken up strongly in support.

well even though I couldn't care less about FB I'm glad something is happening to help make dates more prominent to users.

I'm hoping that if he does go through with this, it will be an obvious step from there to adding books read to Connection News.

Here's link to the most recent discussion of FB integration. Toward the end, it sounds like Tim is leaning toward using Currently Reading rather than the date fields for publishing reading updates to FB. This might be a good time for people to speak out in favour of the date fields ;)
