Question about a Las Vegas

Are there any good bookstores in Las Vegas? I mean like used bookstores or actual good bookstores in the hotels?

"good" in this context not Borders, B&N, Waldens, B Dalton.

Not that these stores aren't good stores just...well you know.

No idea, I never looked for any the two times I was in Vegas. You might want to look at this listing:
http://lasvegas.citysearch.com/roundup/40643

You might want to try cross-posting to the Nevadans Who Read Group:
http://www.librarything.com/groups/nevadanswhoread
They don't seem to be too active, but it might be worth a try.

A few non-chain bookstores are listed for the Las Vegas area on the Local tab.

Dead Poet Books looks promising:
Southern Nevada's largest used book store and noted "Best Used Book Store" of Las Vegas, Nevada since 2001. Over 6,000 sq. feet of used and rare books, hardbacks and paperbacks in every category. Vintage records, an assortment of CD's and a selection of DVD's. Dead Poet Books is open daily from 10:00 am 6:00 pm, closed on holidays.

If you find any good ones, please add them to Local.

There is the Albion Book Company on E. Desert Inn Rd. It's a good-sized store, mainly used books and helpful staff. Also, the Mandalay casino has a tiny bookstore, can't remember the name right now, but they have a philosphy group that meets there.

A philosophy book group that meets at the Mandalay Bay casino!? Oh man attending that group is going on my list of things to do before I die!

A new bookstore, The Writer's Block, has opened downtown. They also feature an "artificial bird sanctuary.
