South Dakota, Custer, Readers' Retreat Bookstore

This bookstore is a beautiful store! I just loved discovering it when we were visiting the Black Hills this past summer. They feature regional, Native American, and rare books. I bought a couple of vintage children's books - not their specialty, but what I collect. It is located at 607 Mt. Rushmore Road (the main street) in Custer.

I remember going to a bookstore meeting that description in Custer about 25 years ago on a family trip. I wonder if that's the same one.

It could be the same business, but I don't think the current owners are old enough to have owned it that long.
