I can smell smoke from the Canadian wildfires in my apartment in New Haven Connecticut. New York looking smoggy from some pics I've seen.

>2 featherbear: That can be annoying and dangerous to all, especially those folks with heath issues. I grew up in Florida and every year we had "muck" fires. that burned al summer long. They're underground so there's nothing you can do to stop them. Awful things. Hold your breath:)

Somewhat to my surprise, Somebody Somewhere isn't on the lengthy list of canceled shows on Vulture: If You’re Reading This, Your Favorite Show Is Canceled (as of June 9). There's still time, of course. MAX assigned a 10:30PM time for the show's weekly updates on the US east coast, which didn't strike me as very supportive. In its favor, the show doesn't look like it's expensive to produce. If MAX decides to cancel, hopefully it won't delete it from the MAX back episodes as they did with Westworld.

>5 featherbear: It has been renewed for a third season. Lovely show. The 10:30 update time on MAX is when the show airs on HBO.

Jem Aswad. Variety, 06/22/2023: Warner Bros. Discovery Negotiating $500 Million Deal to Sell Film and TV Music Publishing Assets.
"Warner Bros. Discovery is negotiating to sell around half of the storied Warner studio’s film and TV music-publishing assets for approximately $500 million, three sources confirm to Variety. The news was first reported by Hits. ...
"If reports are accurate, the deal would be a welcome one for the company and its investors at a tumultuous time that includes a writers strike that has crippled Hollywood and 100 layoffs across its Discovery and Turner brands (with more expected in the coming months), not to mention Zaslav’s recent firing of his personally selected CNN CEO Chris Licht after just one year, and the network’s controversial town hall with former president Donald Trump.
The windfall from such a sale — coming at the top of a still-booming market for music catalogs — would help the company to pay down a $49.5 billion debt."
