I got Pennyworth: The TV Series. This is the first season and it follows the life of a very young Alfred Pennyworth (whose character was later the butler on the Batman series.)

Synopsis - "Alfred Pennyworth, a former British SAS soldier in his 20s, forms a security company in 1960s London and goes to work with young billionaire Thomas Wayne, years before he becomes Bruce Wayne's father. With England balancing on the brink of a civil war, the first skirmishes of an undeclared secret war have begun. In this world of secrets and betrayals, find Alfred Pennyworth. Nine years of training with the SAS have taught him to be a cynical optimist."

So far, I am enjoying it. Warning- this is a dark story- nothing like the campy Batman series of the 1960's.

The 1960's show was the only TV my dad ever watched with us except for a occasional movie or a trip to the drive in. He is long gone but I guess he got a kick out of it. Now that series just seems so campy.

I've been waiting for Series 08 of French police drama Spiral (Engrenages) and it didn't disappoint. It did look like it might be the end for Laure and Gilou. I do hope not.
