L'Amant de la Chine du Nord
Finished reading: 10 July 2002
In English:
Apparently, there is a relation between the two books L'Amant (The Lover) and L'Amant de la Chine du Nord (The North China Lover), but I haven't read the former.
I read L'Amant de la Chine du Nord a few years ago. It is like a little Lolita-story.
It was my first book by Marguerite Duras and made her one of my favourite French authors.

Coincidentally, I ordered this book yesterday. Looking forward to it. I wondered about any relationship when I saw the two titles. Maybe I will have to read both!

This reminds me that I should bring this one on my vacation. Will be a good read as I look onto the banks of Switzerland from the French side of Lake Geneva (which is called Lac Leman).
As many who read my thread know, I read The Lover last year since I've always loved the movie and so when I found out that this was the "film version", I knew I had to read it too.
