N.A.M. Rodger - Command of the Ocean vol 3 (1815-1945)

I have the first 2 volumes of Rodger's trilogy on the history of the Royal Navy, but the third volume seems elusive. I've been waiting for it to become available for some years but no sign of it yet as far as I can see. (I check the US & UK Amazons & other e-bookstores from time to time.)

Does anyone know whether it's been published yet?

No, I'm fairly certain it hasn't. His U.S. publisher is WW Norton and there's nothing on their site that indicates it has been published. It's been over 6 years since Volume 2 so you would think it would be relatively soon. There was about a seven year gap between the publication of Volume 1 and Volume 2. Like you, I am waiting with great anticipation for Volume 3.

Thanks for that. Sigh. More waiting I guess (and hoping!).

Just out of interest, why do wait for the e-book? Just 'squeeze' it in!!

- It's nice to live in a civilized house rather than a 2nd-hand bookshop.
- eBooks are generally cheaper, often a great deal cheaper. Which, when you buy as many books as I do, is not entirely irrelevant.
- As I travel more and more in my old age, having it all with me inside the iPad seems like a sensible way to enjoy it all ...

I've been waiting for this for years. I have two publication dates for the future, Sept 9 2017 and Sept 6 2018, which latter I found on a Waterstones page for the book. Allen Lane/Penguin - can't trace, but they have so many imprints these days.
