I actually started a free account a while back and never got around to testing it. Then I got a wild hair, forgot about the old account, and started a new one. I uploaded my manga library (skipping multi-volume series to only include the first volume) and to my surprise it quickly surpassed the 200 count limit. I'm moving soon and plan to scan the rest of my library. I'll need something to do as fun because once I put in new flooring and paint, I doubt I'll have much left in the way of 'frivolous' funds!

I'm quiet, introspective, moody, brooding, and a sleep-a-holic. I like best to read in bed with cats snuggled about me. I'm fond of reading everything from Foucault's Pendulum to Naruto. I have a special interest in the Ottoman Empire (the Tulip Era to be precise) and cannot bring myself to let go of Piers Antony's Xanth series, nor my beloved Dragonlance series. I also have quite a few hardbound Nancy Drew novels I can't part with.

I like music and prefer reading with music in the background. I like everything from classical (Mozart) to punk (The Exploited) to world fusion (dissidenten) to Arabic (Hakim). The things I don't like are simple: most radio music, country & western, and r&b. There are exceptions to every rule, however.

I like cooking, but I like being cooked for more. I like traveling to deserts where I can haunt lonely beaches, wailing sand dunes, and ancient ruins. The Sahara is my favourite.

I have two cats who prefer that I spend my mornings in bed.

I'm a redhead.
