La mia biblioteca
All sorts of books: some old, some new, some borrowed, some blue (!).
Informazione su di me
Born 1945; retired Probate lawyer.

I like transport, travel and photography, and watching some, (but not all) sport, as well as playing the "Football Manager" genre of computer games, (at which I am fairly rubbish. No, cancel that: I am totally rubbish)

I like some fiction, but struggle with most of the historical classics, Jane Austen, etc.

I bought an e-reader a few years ago, a Sony PRS-505, but admittedly now struggle with adding books, probably because it's too old for modern downloads, such as those from the library.

How delightful to see a Dewey reference added; it's just a pity that public libraries, even within the same local authority, aren't consistent with its use. My first experience with Dewey came when I was running the school library in the early 1960s; the working knowledge that arose from this was certainly a help when browsing in libraries.

I saw a reference to this site quite by chance, so will use it as a means of cataloguing my books; I shall try to add a few notes as to why/when I bought a particular book. I will rarely say whether or not I've read a particular book as so many of them get bought "to read later". How true is the song "tomorrow never comes"
