While dealing with health issues (portrayed by one of the characters in Loving Summer) and recovering from a car accident in 2015, Kailin Gow was chosen to represent beauty as one of Cindy Crawford's Beauties, and help bring attention to women's charities. Never in a million years did Kailin think she would be known as "beautiful" especially after becoming a mother with health issues later in life.

Kailin Gow has garnered supportive and encouraging fans and readers from around the world of all ages and from all walks of life, who supports her vision to tell heartfelt stories with universal appeal and addresses issues such as bullying, abuse, discrimination, and empowerment.

All her books have some part of her own life infused into the stories, having had personal experience or inspired by someone who has. As a filmmaker and screenwriter, she is well-known in the film community as a writer and storyteller who is bold and writes female characters who are strong in their own ways.

Kailin Gow is not only a bestselling author who sold over 4 million books worldwide solely based on popularity, but she is a prolific filmmaker and screenwriter. Her Bitter Frost Series was made into a mobile game, is now in production as a MMO Game. Her PULSE Book Series' first book, Mysterious Teacher (a new spin-off prequel series), is already set to become a film, to be release in 2017, and her book Loving Summer is in pre-production for a release in 2018.
She was a producer in radio and cable television early in her career prior to becoming a full-time author, and is now the President and Founder of the Asian American Women Producers Association.

Kailin Gow uses her author platform to bring awareness to issues affecting young adult and women. She has appeared on national radio as a regular guest on topics such as body image, self-esteem, dating and sexual relationships, bullying, and more; often brought up in her fiction books for young adults and women.

She holds a Masters degree from the Annenberg School for Communications program in journalism, marketing and publishing at the University of Southern California.

An ALA YALSA Reader's Choice Nominated Author for her YA series, Frost Series, she is also a speaker at BEA, and multi-author signing event organizer for the popular Rockin' Events, which inspired multiple author signing events in California and Las Vegas.

Having traveled to over 25 countries, lived in the American South, in California, Las Vegas, and briefly in England; Kailin Gow feels blessed to be able to use her experiences and inspirations to bring characters and stories from the places she visit, to life.

From visiting Romania, she was asked to write stories about vampires; visiting the Black Forest in Germany and seeing the castles of Europe inspired her to write fantasy; visiting Asia's mystical mountains inspired her to write action adventure and mythological dystopians. From her experience in college as a peer counselor and her volunteer work with women's shelters, she was inspired to write contemporary romance with social issues for women, new adults, young adults, and teens. Having faced adversity, including battling stereotypes and bullying, Kailin Gow has become a well-known speaker and figure in media.

She is also the Founder and President of Citizen Author (Formerly Author's Voices), an organization of authors who pledged to socially mindful of their books and actions as an author as good citizens and ambassadors of the world. For example, Christmas in Paris by Kailin Gow, was not only a love story but a story promoting love and peace in a time of tragedy.
