I inherited a love of travel from my parents, who bundled me up for my first road trip West when I was only six months old. Originally a Midwestern farm girl, I've spent the past decades thawing out in the West, hiking its deserts and mountains, bouncing along backcountry roads, and sometimes lending a hand at archaeological sites. After writing numerous travel guides and magazine articles about Sedona, Grand Canyon, and the Four Corners, I've returned to my first love, writing novels. My books have been recognized by the Arizona Humanities Council, Foreword, and Romantic Times. I'm a member of Sisters in Crime, and I write mysteries set in the red rock country of Sedona, Arizona.
