Welcome to the Hub for Diverse Abilities!

Our mission is to serve as an innovative hub to provide community-wide education, connect families and individuals to services and resources, and advocate for acceptance and understanding of autism and neurodiversity.

The Hub is open to all community members throughout the region and provides resources at no cost. We encourage in-person visitors as well as email and phone inquiries to learn more about our resources and services.

Available Resources (Free)

A lending library of books and materials on a variety of topics, such as social skills, occupational opportunities, advocacy, visual supports, and more. Check-out books & materials here.

A lending library of sensory materials, such as ShoeboxTasks®*, AbleNet sensory aid technologies, and other sensory and/or weight materials. Check-out sensory materials here.

Make-and-Take materials, which are customizable resources that can be crafted in the Hub and taken home for personal use. Make-and-Takes can be used in a variety of settings such as the home or classroom and can help teach communication techniques, schedule building, toileting and hygiene skills, and more.

Nutrition assistance in common issues such as 1) gluten intolerance and other conditions, 2) learning how to cook and/or eat independently, and 3) ChooseMyPlate materials to take home for personal use.

Individualized Educational Program (IEP) assistance.

Family connection, guidance, and advocacy.

*ShoeboxTasks® are structured activities designed to help meet the educational and developmental needs of children on the autism spectrum. These Shoebox Tasks were designed for teachers, therapists, parents, and other caregivers that want to improve the lives of children on the autism spectrum.
